Our Brand Identity
Trademark

And what makes it
unique to us

The Business owner's, The Cheshire Sling Library's and The Birth Doula Cheshire's brand identity is not just about visuals or wording — it is the thoughtful blend of everything we offer, our unique combination, style and content of services. How we offer it, (in the way it is presented and promoted) and who we offer it to, (our intended audience ) are trademarked Including The Nantwich Sling Library, The Nantwich Sling Clinic, The Knustford Sling Library, The Knustford Sling Clinic and The Nantwich Babywearing Snug.

Our original language, tone, phrases, descriptions and expressions we use across platforms in resources and messaging such as “signature or bespoke sling services,” “carefully selected premium carriers,” or “select slings or carriers”, Premium Sling Hire”

“ High end Carriers” and Boutique style babywearing experience”.

All these combined elements make us stand out and reflect the kind of service we aim to offer, the particular audience and clients we aim to attract and work with, as well as the kind of professional services and businesses we aim to associate, network, and collaborate with.

While many businesses, particularly in babywearing, may support families and communities, the specific way The Business owner, The Cheshire Sling Library and the Birth Doula Cheshire engages, communicates, structures and delivers its community-focused services, professional services, classes and workshops is unique to the Business owner, The Cheshire Sling Library and the Birth Doula Cheshire across the businesses and protected as part of the whole brand identity.

While elements such as babywearing drop-in sessions alongside breastfeeding and postnatal support, social spaces, and refreshments are not unique to any one business, the way The Cheshire Sling Library and The Birth Doula Cheshire combine these elements is distinctly our own. Through our particular brand expression, language, and structure — including how we promote, present, and facilitate our warm, community-led Stay & Play Drop-In Sling Clinics — our offering is intentionally and recognisably different from any other similar service.

.

Our unique blend of babywearing, antenatal, postnatal, and breastfeeding support — paired with tea, cake, and genuine conversation — reflects a welcoming, relational tone designed to serve a particular and selective demographic of families. This approach forms part of our business owner’s signature style and underpins a brand experience that is clearly and purposefully ours.

Many other similar services have similar offerings and serve the same demographic but have made the effort to establish a clear and unique identity, demonstrating that it is both possible to be totally authentic and important to do so. There’s every opportunity for you to do the same.

There’s nothing wrong with healthy competition—it motivates us all to keep growing and delivering the best possible service. But when a business simply copies another, it’s no longer about competition—it’s a lack of integrity, and it undermines the value of genuine, thoughtful work for us and all other authentic business's

While Cheshire Sling Library is a new business, it is built on years of experience from the business owner and underpinned by extensive professional training across related fields. It’s shaped by lived experience, specialist expertise, and a refined understanding of what truly supports families — all delivered with a tone and style that is unmistakably ours and the business owners, that our clients recognise and trust.

In addition to our distinctive content and brand expression throughout the business's, our meticulously constructed business operations, systems and internal processes are also an important part of what makes our service unique.

The Cheshire Sling Library and the Birth Doula Cheshire is the thoughtful original combination of:

  • Our carefully curated detailed and specific business operations

  • Our behind-the-scenes systems and the way in which our services are professionally delivered

  • The particular demographic of families we attract and serve

  • The distinctive warm, relational way we engage with families to create a welcoming, consistent, and familiar experience for families

  • Our unique tone of voice in booking processes, emails, and client support

  • The rhythm of our client journey — from initial enquiry to follow-up care

  • The characteristic structure, flow and delivery of our sessions, clinics, and bespoke services.

  • Our original language, tone, phrases, descriptions and expressions we use across platforms in resources and messaging such as “signature or bespoke sling services,” “carefully selected premium carriers,” or “select slings or carriers” and “ Premium Sling Hire”.

  • And including The Nantwich Sling Library, The Nantwich Sling Clinic, The Knustford Sling Library, The Knustford Sling Clinic and The Nantwich Babywearing Snug

  • The atmosphere, ethos, and values that underpin our community-based support

  • Our local partnerships, community roots, and ethical networking

These processes have been thoughtfully developed to reflect our ethos and consistently deliver the high standard of care our clients expect. They are part of our original business model, distinct in presentation, format and brand expression from others and are not to be copied or misrepresented.

Copying this presentation, format, brand expression or language—especially in a monetised offering—undermines the originality of our work the trust we’ve built with our community and has legal implications for you

Replicating, copying, and plagiarising  content without the ability to deliver services to the same standard or with the same values is misrepresentation. It damages both the integrity of the original business and potentially misleads clients.

We ask that this individuality be respected and not imitated.

We believe in collaboration, not imitation

We know how hard it is to start and grow a business. We’ve been there. We also know it can feel overwhelming and uncertain, especially in the early stages.

Taking inspiration is completely natural—and can often be the spark for something authentically brilliant and original.

We are genuinely flattered that other service providers see such value in our content and use it as the benchmark of quality and professionalism to aspire to. However, when specific phrases and language are lifted directly and passed off as original, —it becomes clear that what’s being replicated is more than just words — it’s the authentic voice, lived experience, professional identity, ethos,  and carefully considered approach of our business owner.

Our tone, expressions, and style are a direct reflection of the heart behind The Cheshire Sling Library and the Birth Doula Cheshire. That kind of originality is not easily replicated—and it is always noticeable when it has been copied. It not only crosses an ethical and legal line. Worse, it shows limited knowledge, and a lack of creative intelligence which severely damages any perceived professional credibility in the eyes of your audience and peers.

The same applies to publicly undermining, slandering or misrepresenting another business’s approach. If you felt a particular business model is not right for you, but now find yourself replicating everything about it, we invite you to reflect on whether your direction and content is truly your own.

If you set out to create an individual business, we encourage you to honour that intention—by building your own use of language, words, tone of voice, brand identity, business operations and service offerings.

Let's continue to lift each other up with originality, kindness, and respect.

If it is something you authentically promote and believe in

Final word

At The Cheshire Sling Library and the Birth Doula Cheshire we believe there is room for all of us to thrive—as long as we each do so with integrity and originality.

In the same way we offer non judgemental and a warm welcoming support to parents, and families. We stand by our ethos and offer this genuine warm hearted loyal approach to other similar services and business owners.

We regularly collaborate with like-minded professionals and authentic business owners who have forged their own paths. There’s huge value in community, connection, and learning from one another.

We are always happy to have open conversations, share ideas, and support those building authentic, heart-led services. It is a fundamental principle within our organisation that we endeavour never to replicate, copy, plagiarise any other business or similar service's content or brand expression or expressed ideas.

We perceive these actions as desperate and abhorrent, of absolutely no necessity or benefit to us. We are a supportive and secure environment for you

Furthermore  we never would feel the need and stand by our principle of not publicly undermining slandering, or misrepresenting the approach or brand expression of another similar businesses, or service provider regardless of the circumstances.

We consider such actions to be unprofessional, unsophisticated and without merit to us.

We are a safe space if you're creating something similar and would like support, we welcome open, respectful collaboration.

If you’ve experienced -

a copyright breach or plagiarism, intellectual property theft of your proprietary concepts and business model, misappropriation by another business or similar service,an unauthorised replication of your unique offerings and business approaches, observed a concerning pattern of imitation that extends to your core innovations and business strategies, a competitor who is replicating your business model and key ideas.

another business or similar service closely mirroring your products, services, and strategic direction and you are unsure about your legal standing, interested in gaining a trademark for your brand identity and expression or how to take action, we are  happy to point you in the direction of further support.

We look forward to continue to working in
collaboration and building a network of heart
centered authentic baby business owners
